| Does anyone have any insight into what it's like working as an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission --- and, in particular, the FCC Office of the Inspector General? I'd appreciate any thoughts you have to offer regarding nature and quality of substantive work, work environment, work/life balance, management, employee morale, etc. Insight regarding the interview process would also be much appreciated. Thanks! |

| Too niche. You won't get that here. |

I think you might be better off asking about the IG's office- and working as an attorney in IG's office in general.
At least at my agency, the IG is so completely separate from the rest of the Staff, that the experience working in the IG's office would be completely different. Also- at least at my agency (which is a similar size to FCC) we only have 1 attorney in the IG's office. |
| I'm a telecom lawyer and know plenty of FCC attorneys, but none in the IG's office. I think it is really small. I think there was an issue in the last year or two with appropriating funds for the attorneys - I'm not sure how that was resolved, but you may want to ask about it if you get an interview. |
