What social media apps do you like the best? Vine, Snapchat, ask fm, etc? Any new ones out there? I ask bc my 10 wants to do social media, which is not allowed. However several of his friends have older siblings so I'm sure he sees this stuff all the time. TIA! |

I definitely like Twitter and Instagram the best. They're the most social, really good for keeping up with friends. Some people really like snapchat, some are less in to it. I think for a 10 year old keep it to apps where mostly only famous people post... I dont think kids should post frequently (apps like twitter/instagram) until they're in middle school. The apps I use on a daily basis (or almost daily) would be vine, snapchat, instagram, twitter, (not really Facebook... its become pretty unpopular and more for people that travel often and older people). Ask.fm is popular in SOME schools, it was only popular in mine last year, and "yik yak" was another app that came and went. |

YES. I have an iPhone. Pretty much everyone in high school has one (its basically a necessity). I got it in 8th grade but had a messaging phone starting in 7th. |

I have a summer birthday so in the past I've had pool parties. I guess you would also need a pool in your backyard for that which you may not have... Most people my age do not even have birthday parties, just get-togethers at semi-fancy restaurants where everyone dresses up a little. |
