I know I should know this, but I forgot....what is the appropriate standard dosage of Infant Tylenol for a 9 month old? Thanks!

| Whenever I can't remember (like now), I go to www.askdrsears.com and click on the medicine cabinet link. They have the dosage for everything. |
| OP here...awesome tip about the Dr. Sears Web site. You just made one little boy feel a lot better. Thank you! |

One more thing. Usually your Ped will give you a dosing chart for Tylenol and Ibuprofen as a handout. Next Drs. visit, grab one and tape it to the inside of the medicine cabinet. When you need it in the middle of the night, you will know where it is.

Don't worry about overdosing your baby. When our baby's fever spiked to over 103 degrees, the pediatrician at Shady Grove gave us another chart for both Tylenol and Motrin, which listed doses WAY over what the makers recommend. You basically have to give your child an entire bottle before overdosing. The manufacturers, fearing liability, set levels low.
The chart we were given is in milligrams. I don't remember the conversion from mL to mg, but it's definitely higher. |
Also, don't forget to go by weight instead of age. |
