Question about coffee terminology

I am a tea drinker but I got a Nespresso machine as a gift and we do entertain frequently so it has been great to have. I'm really confused about when to use the Lungo function? Is that only for the non-espresso drinks. Also, if I want to make a latte do I just make an espresso and then add frothed milk. I am clearly not a coffee drinker but I would like to learn how to make a few of the drinks guests frequently ask for.

The Lungo function makes a slightly larger cup of coffee - larger than an espresso, but smaller than a typical cup of drop coffee. There are specific Nespresso pods that are made for the Lungo cups. I drink them black or with a small splash of milk.

You have the latte right - one or two shots of espresso, and hot frothed milk. A cappuccino is similar, but with frothier milk (more foam, less liquid milk). To make a mocha, it's the same as a latte but with chocolate syrup added (or use chocolate milk).
