Tell me why you're getting one. I really do not like kitchen gadgets that don't get used. But I've been considering purchasing a food processor.

I have this:
http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-DFP-14BCN-Processor-Brushed-Stainless/dp/B0000645TW/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1407203539&sr=8-9&keywords=food+processor

and love love LOVE it!! Got it as a wedding present 10 years ago. We use it to make hummus, pesto, grate carrots or zucchini for cake/bread, use it to make pie crust, chop nuts, puree baby food, puree squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkin for cooking, puree soups (before we got an immersion blender). I love it

Cuisinart from Williams Sonoma. We use it every week and have for years. Still works great. My parents still have their Cuisinart from the 80s - it's almond colored but it's still ticking!

I have the same one as 21:55 only mine is white, have had it for like 15 years, it's awesome. My Mom has had hers for way longer than that, her is awesome too. I don't know the capacity but it has the standard blade plus a plastic blade (for making dough? I never use that one) and three discs for slicing and shredding.

I've got a 7 cup cuisinart. It's 15 years old. Would love to get a bigger one.

My cuisinart is at least 25 years old and still works perfectly. I use it at least 3 times a week.

I have a basic 7 cup Cuisinart that has worked faithfully for 15 years. I would love to get a newer one, but cannot bring myself to do so while this one is still OK.

Another Cuisinart owner here.

OP here. We are getting a food processor because the blender that we have is not good enough for chopping up actual food, just blending liquid-based mixtures. We want to make pesto, hummus, etc. Seems like everyone recommends a Cuisinart? Would this one be decent enough? I was hoping to keep it below or around $100, this model is $99. http://www.cuisinart.com/products/food_processors/dlc-10s.html

OP again. The model I posted holds 7 cups, but some PPs mention wanting a bigger one? Will I regret getting the 7 cup one? We are only a family of 2 but I am into freezing/refrigerating a lot for leftovers/future use.

I have the Cuisinart 11 cup. I have bought all the different attachments and blades over the years and love them.

I'm the PP with the 15 year old 7 cup. Definitely go for the 11. Costco usually has it.

I have the Giada one from Target and love it

Yes, Costco has the 11-cup for about $140. It comes with the basic set of blades, and seems to be a good price.
