Movie Ideas for 13th Birthday Party

Anonymous
I'm looking for some movie ideas for a 13th birthday slumber party for girls. There will be about 6-8 girls ranging in age from 12-14 and we plan on letting them hang out, have pizza/cupcakes, do manicures/pedicures, etc. and then end the night with a movie or two before they all go to bed. Looking for some movie ideas that would be good for this age range. Thanks!

I like PPs suggestions.

(Personally, I didn't like Grease as a kid. John Travolta always creeped me out and I was internally furious that Sandy completely changed for him, but I understand the appeal. The songs are great.)

Here are some other suggestions:

A Date with Tad Hamilton
Never Been Kissed
10 Things I Hate About You
13 Going on 30

Roxanne or Splash

Cutting Edge
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Stardust
Anonymous
Poltergeist
Sixth Sense
The Ring
Signs
Jaws

Once they hit the teen years, scary PG-13 movies (without sex and major gore/language) are the way to go. Otherwise none of the girls are really watching. Turn the lights off and they will actually be quiet for 2 hours.

Clueless is a little much for this group. Drinking, smoking weed, trying to sleep with the hot new guy in school. Um - no.

Ferris Buehlers Day Off

Any of the old Molly Ringwald classics

Agree. All she wants to do is lose her virginity to the new guy in school. That is awful. Oh and the guy ends up being gay.

We showed Bride Wars. It's surprisingly rated PG.

Better to prepare them for disappointment.

While these suggestions are great I would ask your DD what movies they would like to see. Can't go wrong with a rom com or a comedy.

I think clueless is a great option btw!

Never Been Kissed.

On right now. Very cute.

Mean Girls is actually very funny too.

Honestly, the best way to go here is Mean Girls.
