hello
I am wondering if there is any sort of daycare available in VA (McLean or Reston area)? I am new to this stuff and not sure if there are any professional (not a one woman's house/apartment) places where I can safely leave a 3-months old baby? I heard from one of my co-workers that at the time she had her baby (several years ago and in a differen state) she was able to put her baby in a daycare at 6 months. The daycare was professional, with CPR certified nurses/sitters, and cameras (she could see her child all time while at work through computer). Do you know of anything like that in our area? |

Fairfax County (which covers McLean) has a list of providers and daycare centers on the county's website.
There are several centers in the Tyson's Corner area which is near or part of McLean. |
| There are a number of programs which will take infants but the waiting list is usually longer so you want to look early. One friend told me to look once I was even thinking about getting preganant and sign up as soon as possible. I though so was joking - but in truth for some of the better places the wait list can be very long. There is a forum on day cares you might want to ask the question there. |
