I think there's plenty of questions/opinions to why they probably want to explain whatever they're doing and why.

This is official from Mls Next direction to our club. Our management forwarded to parents:

Dear MLS NEXT Member Clubs,

We know there has been a lot of discussion surrounding School Year vs Birth Year age groups and understand how important this decision is for your clubs as you plan for the 2026/27 season. We recognize the impact of this decision and are carefully evaluating all factors before determining the best path forward for MLS NEXT.

An official update will be shared with all clubs once the revies process is complete. We appreciate your paticne and continued partnership as we work to provide direction and clarity for all clubs.

Best,

MLS NEXT HQ

Looks like the GA announcment that was initially proven incorrect then later ended up being correct. (but the GA doc was made up) Probabaly the same parent thats over invested making things up to win arguements online about MLS.

Many rosters of MLS Next and academies are overwhelming full of kids born in Q1/Q2 because of their earlier physical development. So now this shifts the balance to an advantage for kids born August to December.

MLS2 has HS soccer break, so MLS2 should be SY. And if MLS2 club is going to be promoted to MLS1, then MLS2 and MLS1 has to be on the same page. MLS Academy can stay in BY and they already play up this season.

I think the decision is already been made. They just need proper wording.

You’re a world class tool. Why would someone make up a document with factual information? To try and trick people into knowing truthful information?

As I said a week ago, nobody knows nothin, including MLS Next. Their official recognition of it does however lead to a change in odds markets favoring SY.

1 & 2 BY: + 600 (prev + 200)
1 BY, 2 SY: + 180 ( prev + 200)
1 & 2 SY: + 140 ( prev + 200)

We are at a GA/mlsn and have had no official communication regarding the age change from the club for either boys or girls. Many parents around us still have no idea this is happening even for the girls side which has already been decided.

They did it before with both a fake "So Cal" announcement then a fake GA document. This looks a lot like both of them.

Just because crazy person happened to be correct on a 50/50 decision doesnt mean the docs were any less fake.
