Why was my post about the Iraq war deleted?

I think it's a relevant point. It's not offensive. I have never posted on this or any other topic related to the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

We have a huge number of threads and you didn't really make a particularly unique post. It could easily be added to one of the other threads.

Forgot to add, exactly the same point was made in multiple threads with one poster telling us all to go to hell because of the number of civilians killed in Iraq.

I think it's a salient and different point, taking the issue out of the context of the two groups involved. I know you don't like Israel, and it's your football, but not cool. There are many American Jews like me who feel about Netanyahu the way we felt about Bush. It's easy to criticize others but people who live in glass houses. . .

Hold it, now you've confused me. How did you feel about Bush? Your post said we couldn't criticize Israel because we invaded Iraq. What is different between that and the multiple posts by other posters who said nearly exactly the same thing? It would be original to say that Jews who criticized Bush should also criticize Netanyahu. But, that is not what your post said (unless there were two very similar threads started).

I do criticize Netanyahu and his policies, and have done so for a long time. But I'm not a citizen of Israel and have no vote there. I do support the right of Israel to exist and in many ways love the country. My concern is that people here confuse the government for the people. The people now are being attacked by a terrorist organization so they support the war. But after 9/11 Americans would have supported anything - if we had had rockets thrown at us I cannot even imagine what America would have done. I just think we need to have some perspective here. Israelis are not the same as Netanyahu just like Americans are not the same as Bush.

Okay, then I was correct the first time. All of these points have been made repeatedly in other threads. There is really no reason for a separate thread in which everyone will simply repeat what they have said before.
