| I have been with Verizon for many years, but have been thinking of switching to Credo (a little less expensive, plus doing a little good), but I am concerned about the service (they use Sprint network, I believe). Anyone have Credo? How is the service? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks! |

I have used Credo for years and have a family plan with them. Since I've been using it for so many years, I can't compare performance with other networks. I believe that with Verizon you can talk within network in the metro, correct? With Credo/Sprint, it is roaming but you can text for free. I recently heard that not all phone companies allow you to text in metro but I can't confirm that.
We are also heavily urban folk and I think Sprint's area is pretty urban, too, and focused on major interstates (was years ago when I first looked so I don't know if that's still true) so that is not an issue for us but it's something to consider. I was always under the impression that Verizon was cheaper than Credo -- that Credo is a little more expensive so I'm surprised to hear it is not. At any rate, we stay with Credo because of the high level of service they provide and the politics. Of course, you shouldn't really worry about the politics. You can always donate more money to your favorite causes without doing it through your phone company so I wouldn't make the decision based on that. But every time I need to talk to someone at Credo, I get a real person right away who is polite and knowledgeable and helpful. That is a big plus! |
