Help! My quinoa won't cook at altitude.

Anyone BTDT and have any tips? Thank you.

No, but I feel like this should have a hashtag like #BoulderProblems.

Good luck, I hope you solve your quinoa quandary!

Have you tried making it in a rice cooker? It's a worthy investment regardless of altitude. It turns out 100 times better in a rice cooker. I will never make quinoa stovetop again!

Quinoa is native to Boliva, elevation of roughly 3,650 m. Where are you exactly?

LOL - I was just going to post something about this. How do the Bolivians do it?!

I live in Colorado and have never had a problem with it. Maybe it's old or something? How high are you? If you're up at 10,000 it's gonna take a while.

You can cook it, it just takes a while. Double or triple the time. It's ridiculous. Cooking pasta can take up to 45 minutes in the high desert.
