Infertility Support and Discussion
I just got a speeding ticket from a spped camera in the mail. When I looked at the date and time I realized that I was speeding because I was on my way to bring my contribution for the IUI procedure (collected at home) to IUI to Shady Grove within the 1 hour window for delivery -- sure I made it with like 40 minutes to spare, but you never know if there will be traffic on I-270. So what do you think, should I raise that as a defense? . Could be one for the law books.

| Puh-leeze. You were speeding, you got caught, just pay the ticket. |

Getting pregnant is not a medical necessity. So no, you can't use that as a defense IMHO.
But I understand trying to make that ridiculous window when living far away from SG. So I protested and said my husband will just have touse their facilities to provide his donation. They finally said okay. |
I think it's pretty clear OP was joking, as evidenced by the smiley face emoticon. |
Funny- Same thing happened to me on the way to an IUI!!! LOL It's not worht fighting, just pay up!

Thank you, I was. I will just pay the ticket. Just trying to add some levity since the TTC process can be rather stress filled. |
| OP, I got a kick out of your post. Others need to chill . . . |
| This is one of those situations where it MIGHT have worked out better if you had been pulled over. A human being might have gotten a kick out of that excuse, so you never know. . . |
| You should take the brightly colored Shady Grove specimen bag into court as Exhibit A. |
