Can you just suddenly seem to develop dry eye? I am 43 and may be perimenopausal but suddenly can't wait contacts and my eyes constantly feel dry.
|
Mine did. Age 37 everything was fine and doc said I was a great candidate for LASIK. Didn't get it. Next year, everything starts to be blurry when I have my contacts in. Turns out to be severe dry eye. Now I can't wear contacts and am on restasis. Guess it's good I didn't get LASIK since that's known to make eyes even drier. Still, wearing glasses is a bummer.
Thanks 12:11. I am basically the same boat. Happy contact wearer. Was considering LASIK but am thrilled I never went through with it. Just sort of work up and dry eyes were awful within a week timespan. No infection (ruled out by opthalmologist). She said hormones can play a part... this is painful!
Try taking lots of calcium throughout the day and post back in a couple of days to let us know if it works for you. It should work.
PP, how would calcium help dry eyes?
