For those of you who have gotten OHSS in your IVF cycle, when in the cycle did you get it? After retrieval? After transfer? Or before that-- what day of stimming?
|
When they are monitoring your estrogen levels during stimming, they usually can tell whether you are at risk for OHSS and can take precautionary measures (reducing medication levels, different kind of trigger). If you get it nonetheless, I think the most typical point is right after ER.
It seems to happen way more frequently than the docs indicate. I looked four months pregnant (and wasnt) for weeks after my transfer. I dont remember when I fifrst started getting symptoms but it was definitely before the transfer.
OHSS only occurs after exposure to HCG as it is HCG driven, so it happens after you trigger or if you become pregnant from the transfer.
Had it severe, both cases began two days after retrieval.
