| I've been on the lookout for some nitrate free pepperoni but I haven't seen it. Until a week or so ago. Unfortunately I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone? |
| Applegate Farms makes it. Whole Foods likely has it in stock, I the deli lunch meat section. |
I just bought some at Wegmans for homemade pizza. It's in the deli section with all the pre packaged lunch meats and cheeses. |

^^^
Yup. Anywhere they have Applegate lunch meat. We buy the prepackaged, though I wonder if they also have it whole behind the deli counter. |
| I buy the Applegate pepperoni at Safeway all the time. |
| Isn't Boar's Head nitrate free for everything, or did I make that up? Anyway, their pepperoni is good. |
|
Hmm....I'll have to look for Applegate, but I haven't seen it yet.
Our toddlers like pepperoni, but the closest we've found is the Hormel Natural Choice Hard Salami. They occasionally eat various Hormel Natural Choice lunch meats which are all nitrate free. |
| The "natural" nitrates that app legate uses (celery juice) are still nitrates. It best not to encourage your kids to eat this stuff either. It really isn't healthy. |
I think you made it up. I'd love for it to be true, but I'm pretty sure it's not. |
So should they not eat celery? |
+1. I thought the same thing and had the man at the deli counter check. Even he was surprised! |
Nope. Here's one site that lists sodium nitrate for Boar's Head pepperoni: http://www.shopwell.com/boars-head-pepperoni/sandwich-meat/p/4242100595 |
