An old friend / acquaintance from high school. He and I were on the same athletic team one year. We were friends but not very close. We didn't talk after graduation (almost a decade now).

I always had a bit of a crush on him. We have a super high match %, which I don't usually buy into, but I always liked this guy! And we have similar interests.

Trying to decide if I should message him, or if that would be painfully awkward...
