Granola recipe without honey or coconut

Anonymous
I'm looking for a granola recipe that doesn't use honey, coconut, or coconut oil. Any good recipes out there?

Just use vegetable oil and omit the coconut:

The honey binds and sweetens it and keeps it crunchy... Why are you trying to avoid it?

I use apple juice to bind and add sweetness. I add a drizzle sunflower oil to stop the mix sticking. Any oil will do though.

I don't like the taste of honey.

So...I did a combo of various granola recipes and it turned out pretty good! Nice and crunchy, too. But it's not in clusters (is that what you mean by binding it?).

PP, next time I might try the apple juice idea.

Maple syrup instead of honey?

+1. Maple syrup adds a nice flavor, and also adds some sweetness.

Use maple syrup, agave nectar, or light molasses.
