I wonder what would happen if Pride, STJ and other girls just stayed where they r? If everyone is doing well and developing why bother. Wherever the talent the recruiters will come. Then Capital would be the next step for Bethesda players and SSSA. If Capital does not have talent, colleges r not going to just take a Capital player b/c of the brand.

Nobody wants to be the guinea pig in this scenario. Capital has the best recruiting connections in the area. So until that changes, they will remain the premier HS club in the area.

If Pride kept all their players, they would beat Capital.

At 2028 you’re probably right since that Cap team will prob be mostly Pride players as has been discussed extensively on here. My current best guess after watching clinics: 8-10 Pride,

4-6 Stars, 2-4 NL, 2 At Large Bids. Admittedly, does not leave much for Orange.

6 seems like a lot for STJ probably closer to 3-4

Not a Stars parent, but know the team. Could easily get to 6.

That would be a shame.

Realistically 3-4, likely 7-8 based on the Stars network.

Are you implying that lesser qualified/skilled players will be passed over due to a Stars “hook-up?”

Duh. Happens every year.

It does? You have evaluated all the girls who made it and determined that lesser players were offered spots based on politics? I believe you are FOS.

We’ll know in a week. Stars will be over represented. If any are going to SSSAS, that’s a guaranteed roster spot.

Yes, my daughter played attack for BC - no. 8.

6 is not happening easily. 6 at most from STJ. Reality is there are 4 and then the rest is the SSSA factor.

If this is true what a crock. Stars barely cracks the top 30 and limped into the playoffs of NGLL with a very easy schedule. There are good players, but anyone who has attended the clinics know which club should have the most spots and it is not Stars. Forger the school or the club, just take the best and let the chips fall where they may.

There are many to choose from. Perhaps an SD revival is in order?

Never seen a Stars game, practice, etc. Just calling you out for being a non-athletic poser ragging on little girls. Wish we could meet to discuss.

Checked in after a bit to see some old school chippiness on here. Kind of sounds like the same guys stirring the pot.

Good luck to all the girls, Stars, Pride and beyond. As the sports prayer goes, hope they play to the best of their ability and have fun.

I’m hearing from some very reliable sources that some of the top players from the Mid Atlantic clubs may show up at Capital tryouts in an orchestrated effort to build a lacrosse “dream team”. Get ready to have your minds blown DC/VA parents and I hope you have some back-up plans or are open to playing for orange.
