Dropped the ball on son's birthday party this weekend and he wants an Angry Birds cake... lots of kids (and adults as it's a party for a four year old) so I'm looking for a 1/2 sheet cake and deciding between Wegman's and Costco. Before I drive to both - can you personalize Costco cakes or do they just offer generic decorations? I know Wegman's can do what he wants but Costco is a lot cheaper! I normally bake cupcakes for parties but I'm pregnant and we're about to go out of town - not in the mood!
I don't think Costco would have an Angry Birds cake.
Costco only does its generic decorations. They will write something on the cake for you, but they aren't going to do an Angry Birds cake.
Costco will not have an angry birds cake. You could probably request a blank cake (or maybe with them just writing "Happy Birthday Aidan") and then by some small Angry Birds Toys or cake decorations from another store and place them on. We have done that before when my kids wanted a specific themed cake, that no bakeries made (Club Penguin and Minecraft, a few years ago before Minecraft was so popular).
Thanks, PPs. I think we'll go with Wegman's... the price difference isn't that much - plus I think Wegman's owes me for some recalled nectarines and peaches so it'll offset the price difference.

My neighbors brought a giant Costco sheet cake to our house this past weekend, for a bbq. Please someone come and get the rest of this cake out of my fridge....I'm about to kill myself in all that mousse-y-cake goodness...save me from myself!!
Sam's Club is the best for this. Even if you're not a member, you can get a day pass and pay 10% extra for a sheet cake. They have a lot of popular designs and will even do a photo cake. They're also super cheap and tasty.
Sam's club offers an angry bird cake design, cupcakes too.
Harris Teeter had an Angry Birds cake (at least it did a year and a half ago).
