What meds were you on and what dosages?
Did they ever have to increase them during your cycle? and how old were you? |
|
gonal F and menopur at fairly significant doses. I'm sorry that I don't remember the numbers.
Increased them after my first monitoring visit at day 4 (ish) because my estrogen level was a little low. Pregnant with twins 31 years old |
op here. thanks for your response. i was on gonal f 225 and 75iu meno and my estrogen came back a tad lower than what they want it so my dosage went up 75iu gonal. congrats on your twins!

first replier here again:
I pulled my old paperwork. I started on 5 of lupron, 150 gonal f in the am, 75 gonal f in the pm and 75 menopur in the pm. After a lowish estrogen level on day 3 of stims (value was in the 90's), we stopped the lupron and added 75 more menopur in the evenings. which meant: gonal f 150am, 75pm and menopur 150pm ended up with estrogen of about 1000, 12 mature eggs, and eventual twins. Good luck!! We're about to do this all again in hopes of having another child. |

oops---
previous poster here. I ended up with an estrogen level of 2000 at trigger (not 1000 as I wrote above). |
| OP - while I don't remember specific numbers I do know my dosages changed at times due to monitoring. I had 3 'fresh' cycles....all successful and 1 fresh and 1 frozen cycle which were unsuccessful. I used 3 different protocols through the 5 cycles - first pregnancy at 33 /34 and last at 38 - good luck. |

OP here, thanks!!!
I was put on 175iu gonal and 75iu meno and my estrogen was not as high on day 3 of stims so my dr increased my gonal to 225iu. I am almost 40. Was just curious if others had had to increase their meds earlier on during they cycle. |

Hi OP,
I'm almost 40 and will be on 300 gonal and 150 menupur just starting out. Sounds like they thought you'd respond really well, and then saw that you needed a bit more help. |
OP here. Thanks PP, I appreash your response. I'm a little bummed because I feel the BCP's and Lupron might has oversupressed me a bit this time around. I have no problems 2.5 years ago on the same meds and they were never increased. I guess as we get older the more help we need.
I hope we both get BFP's!!!
