Fall planting

I want to do a fall crop of broccoli, snap peas and spinach. When should I plant? August? September?

Plant now for the broccoli at least. Spinach is tough because it really struggles to germinate in the heat- I'd wait a bit longer. Fall spinach will often come back in the spring in my experience.

When will you plant the snap peas?

I''m thinking the last weekend of August for all three. But I will have to pull up tomato plants to have enough room and I'd imagine I can get them to grow through September. But I worry that end of September is too late to get snap peas. Thoughts? This is the first year of my vegetable garden.

This is what I plan on doing, more because it is my only option than because I think it is best. I am a little worried about broccoli and cauliflower becuase it looks like they should be started like at minimum 9 weeks before the first frost (which could come late October). But other fall stuff should be okay I think you could probably even wait a little later with Spinach, but given that it hasn't been an overly hot summer this might not be a concern.
