edible arrangement or alternative?

I have a good friend who is ill (heart disease) and is not doing great, and I may not be able to visit her soon. She's at home, and I'd love to send her and her husband a meal, but they live in a fairly rural area so I can't really find a good service that delivers healthy food. I was thinking maybe an edible arrangement? But I don't know if those are a good value. Any other ideas? Thanks!

In my experience Edible Arrangements = spoiled food and food poisoning.

Please don't do Edible Arrangements. Someone bought me on several months ago and I forced myself to try it--it tasted very stale.

Maybe a Harry and David fruit/nut basket?

What about a complete meal from Omaha Steaks? They would have to heat things up but it could work.
I don't like Edible Arrangements b/c it is too much pineapple and I do not like pineapple.

OP here - thanks for the suggestions!

How about a delivery from Natures box or fruit from Harry and David or equivalent. I agree with the Edible arrangements - cut fruit never lasts.

Not sure Omaha Steak products are the best for someone with heart disease.

A local grocery store was able to deliver a bag of groceries to my mother. Might be an option for more rural areas.

I've had great luck with the Edible Arrangements I've given and received. Yummy!

See if you can find someone that does catering in the area and have them deliver a meal.
