need Puerto Vallarta rec for girls' getaway

| Need to go to a nice resort on the Pacific side of Mexico for a short girls' getaway next February, and I've heard nice things about Puerto Vallarta. Can anyone recommend a resort in that area (for up to $300 a room per night)? TIA! |

Loved Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in a villa, not on the beach, and loved it. We had enough people to rent out the entire place, so had the pool to ourselves. When we wanted to head to the beach we could walk down and take a cab back for $4. The villa came with a house boy and we had a woman come make us an authentic Mexican meal for $10 pp. The villa itself was super affordable too-I want to say $100 per couple per night. Best vacation ever.
