I'm a tubster right now. 5'5 181 this am.
My thighs are rubbing. As I lose weight will the darkness fade? I'm 40 and AA if that matters Thanks |
| I had the skin on my inner thighs darken when I was 30lbs heavier than my current wright. Ironically it got worse when I walked/ran more than usual. I'm extremely pale and the darkness eventually faded away completely. |
| It can be a symptom of diabetes or pre diabetes |
You Lost the weight? Or it just went away |
| Was also going to say it was related to blood sugar. |
So I go to dr and say hey my skin is darkening? |
You should mention it and ask what she thinks. Think people get it in areas like the armpits or behind the knees. |
| When I was significantly overweight I had this. When I lost weight it went away. It's from chafing. I don't agree that where skin rubs together it's related to blood sugar. |
...most likely not in this case. OP said her thighs are rubbing together - so that means the darkening is from scarring of sorts. OP it may fade over time but for now carry talcum powder with you or corn starch and apply to that area when you know you'll be doing some walking. it will feel much better and thighs will glide instead of rub. |
