Can I shrink the AG Stevie?

Got myself a gorgeous green pair of AG Stevie jeans at the current anthro sale. Unfortunately, I either lost weight or should have sized down because after one wear they slide right off me.  I washed them before wearing so can't return. Is it possible to shrink them by one size? Will putting them in the dryer help or just ruin them?
