favorite dal recipe

Could someone share your favorite dal recipe? Not too spicy and not too much butter would be the best. Thanks!

Our family loves this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/indian-dahl-with-spinach/detail.aspx

We make our own Nann, too.

It really is so good! I'm not Indian (though 23andme says I have a tiny bit of South Asian ancestry) but Indian is one if my favorite cuisines and I could eat Rajmah dal every day. Sometimes I will eat it for a week and my partner complains that I smell like spices even right after I bathe.

Omit the fenugreek and you should smell fine.
