My DH's parents are coming next weekend- and I'm desperate to impress. Any NICE, upscale
but friendly restaurants in Fairfax City where we could take them? TIA! |
|
Check out Bellissimo Restaurant- corner of Main Street and University- looks quaint and food is divine! Good luck.

| Second Bellisimo. |
| Definitely Bellissimo- best food by far. |

It's called Villa Mizart. And it's wonderful. Not child-friendly, though. I've never been to Bellissimo, but they have too many items on their menu, IMO. |
|
No- it's Villa MOZART. And Bellissimo is far better food & ambiance- really. Forget the menu and go for one of the specials of the evening. |
Hmmm...I'm the PP with the typo on Mozart. I look at Bellissimo's menu and think, "How can this place be any good?" The loooong list of menu items is usually a bad sign. Have you watched Kitchen Nightmares?
I may have to try it based on your recommendation, though. How is the food and ambiance better? If it's really as good as you say it is, the pictures (and menu) and its website do it no justice. |
Don't. I have a hunch that multiple endorsements of Bellissimo were posted by the same person. Disclaimer - I have never been to Bellissimo, or Villa Mozart. My sources of information on good dining are Tom Sietsema and Todd Kliman's chats and Yelp cross-checked with Tripadvisor. |
LOL. Thanks for slapping some sense into me. I just went back and read the Trip Advisor reviews and am sticking with my initial opinion. |
| 19:24 Are you kidding? You've never checked Open Table reviews? Both Bellissimo and Mozart have excellent OT and Yelp reviews. I have no reason to endorse one over the other except for the fact that I have gone to both and have had my own experience. Just trying to be helpful and share. |
| I miss the chinese restaurant on north Street... I think it was called Peking Garden |
