Has anyone successfully found a grey-purple paint color that looks good? I am considering this color for my dining room. WHat do you think? |
Do you mean like a taupe, something different? Give me a brand and color name.. |
In some light benj moore bunny grey looks purple grey. I love it. |
DH picked out a chip called Dolphin ? at home depot-either Behr or Martha Stewart a few years ago. I got samples of all contender paints and that Dolphin? had a lilac undertone. Try painting several colors in swatches on the walls befor you do the actual coats. |
ilove this one but don't go by this chip,e you need to try it on your wall. some days and lights it looks gray, other times it looks purple.

I have the PERFECT color for you. At first, it looks like a grey, but when you paint it, it has a touch of lavender. And it's not too dark either - it's just right - not too light, not too dark.

PP here - I bought this sample with the Glidden Moonlight grey - I think the manhattan mist was a teeny bit on the blue side in certain light. |
Olympic brand smoky grape. I would paint my whole house this color if I could convince my husband.

I painted a room in Manhattan Mist and it came out light blue. Try Behr Ancient Stone. I have that sample on my wall now and I'm torn by the lavender-ness of it. Really pretty though. |

Yeah my Manhattan Mist walls are definitely not blue. They are sometimes gray, sometimes lavender. OP, I'd suggest buying a few samples and seeing how it works in the light of your home throughout the day. |
