Can you bring food into Disney parks?

I thought I read somewhere that you could, but I don't see a lot of people mentioning that they actually do this. Could I bring a backpack or small insulated bag with some sandwiches and drinks?

Yes, they allow you to bring in your own food. We always bring our own snacks & bottled water.

If you bought some adult meals, would the fast food type places let you nuke a kids' Chef Boy R Dee? My 3 y/o won't eat much besides Smuckers PB&J, Instant Mac & Cheese, or those little cans of raviolis. I'd be embarrassed to ask if we weren't buying for the rest of us.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the "official" answer to this is "no". Having said that, the gate checkers are not really looking for food, and if you have young kids/toddlers, you should have no problem taking in crackers, snacks, juice, etc. I've done that several times in the past, and while in each case I don't think the food was ever really noticed, I didn't try to hide it. I've never known anyone to try to take in a huge cooler of food, and they might stop you if you try. All in all, though, Disney is such a smart operation... it may well be that the official policy is no, but they don't enforce it because they don't want unhappy customers.

And, to 18:47... many many places (especially in the magic kingdom, but elsewhere too) now offer "kids meals" which can be pb&J, mac n' cheese, hotdog, etc.... usually served with grapes or applesauce, and milk. It was $3.99 when I was there, and it was all my kids ate.

I don't know if they'd nuke something for you... I think the staff there is generally trained to help you out whenever they can, but there might be some issue with serving food from an establishment that they can't guarantee...

There is a baby care center at each park that has toilets that do not have flush sensors - something that might be important for a toddler as well as a kitchen with a microwave, small tables etc.

The baby center also has a private place to breast feed (note: I nursed my infant on just about every ride - you are in a seat by yourself and people are more interested in watching the things around them as opposed to watching you).

Have fun!
