If I could get it @ CVS, that'd be even better...and do you need moisturizer under the concealer? |
Moisturizer under concealer helps to apply it smoothly and prevents it from looking cakey, which can look worse than no concealer at all. I have pretty bad bags under my eyes (genetics -- thanks, Dad!) and I use Bobbie Brown concealer. It's pricey, but it works well as a concealer. One thing to note, though, is that concealer is designed more to hide dark circles and/or skin discolorations. Bags are essentially loose or puffy skin. There are eye creams targeted to help reduce puffiness and tighten skin. I just saw a commercial for a product made by Gaunier (available at Target, not sure about CVS) that rolls on and is supposed to help with bags. I was thinking about trying it out. |
Try the L'Oreal Minerals powder concealer - might not crease up like liquid ones do.

If you have oiliy skin, then putting extra moisturizer under the concealer will make the concealer fade quicker. |
I know you said not pricey, but concealer is one of the few makeup items I don't buy at the drugstore, because I can really see a quality difference. Plus, concealer lasts forever, so if you're willing to break those rules about having to throw away old make-up, one container can last a long time. Like the poster above, I have used Bobbi Brown. I also recently tried MAC's studio fix concealer and liked it a lot. |
i have dark circles.
in the morning i apply moisturizer and then i wait a little bit before i put my makeup on so that it will sink in. then i use prescriptives foundation (i guess it is foundation, but it is very very light). over that, i apply prescriptives concealer. works like a charm. i have in the past used a little MAC stick (looked like lipstick) and that was also very good, although heavier than the prescriptives products. add mascara and my burts colored lip balm and i am good to go! |
