Any feedback on Twain Middle School?

We are zoned for Twain for middle school. Satisfied with our neighborhood elementary school but concerned about middle school. We are open to private school for high school and not send children to Edison. Not sure what to do about middle school.

The same group of kids at Edison come from Twain. They are 1 for 1 the same kids. So, if you aren't o.k. with Edison, then you probably wouldn't be o.k. with Twain. That said, I've seen them at the Sci/Engin. Festival at the DC Convention center with a booth and I saw their last musical. Seems like a good community at the school. Since the AAP kids go there, it has a higher achieving segment of kids.

Are you concerned about the academics or the classmates? Is it the IB program at Edison that worries you or something else? It all depends on what you are comfortable with -- perhaps you could go to some of the school functions and see it for yourself and talk to the principal directly.

Edison also gets some kids from Holmes MS, though all of Twain minus some AAP kids may feed to Edison.
