Indoor outdoor rugs inside?

Anonymous
I have a dog who pees on rugs sometimes. This is big bone of contention in my house but that's not the point. We have thrown away at leaSt 6rugs over the years. Our living room doesn't look right with a bare floir and I'm considering an indoor-outdoor rug for now.
Has anyone used these inside and is it passable? As in, not looks plastic?

Pottery Barn has some nice ones that don't look like plastic. We also have one from Ballard Designs in under our dining room table that's pretty much toddler proof and doesn't look like it was made for outdoors.

We have one that is technically an indoor-outdoor rug. It is from either Home Depot or Overstock (I bought one from each at the same time) and it looks good. It doesn't look like it's intended for the outdoors.

I have one from Ballard Designs in my dining room as well. Originally got it to protect the carpeting in a dining room in a rental house. I've been really happy with it. Looks pretty, and I don't have to worry about it. So far it's cleaned up well. The pattern looks like an oriental rug (though it's not textured like one - it's "flat").

Have you considered a system like FLOR tiles? I don't have them but they're supposed to be washable. That way you could take up the ones that need to be cleaned and then replace them.

Dog diaper.

Dash albert! Great rugs and made to handle dogs. Their indoor/outdoor rugs are soft and can be hosed off

We have this. Don't recommend.

Check out the Frontgate and Grandin Road websites. I bought an indoor/outdoor area rug from Frontgate recently and intended to use it outside on the patio. However, once I saw it in person I decided it was way too nice for outside. I have it inside now and I love it!

I bought some on Overstock.com. We used to have a beautiful one under our kitchen table.
