I am looking for a good old fashioned aerobics class in NoVa. I live in Arlington and need something cheap that will make me sweat and lose weight.
Do people still do this?? I cant run on a treadmill, I already take long walks with my son in the stroller after work and do pilates 2x a week but need something with more cardio. Anyone know of a place? |
| Most gyms offer these. Or join Jazzercise. These classes are everywhere. |
| I used to do aerobics with vhs/dvd. Loved it. I could do it anytime I wanted and you dont need a lot of space. I used Jane Fonda's stuff- its very good and there is a lot of emphasis on safety which I like. Not sure Fonda's stuff is still available.. you could also check on ebay. |
| Anyone else have any DVD recommendations? |
| Try Zumba. It's the current version of dance aerobics. Plenty of classes around. |

The Kettlebell Way to the Perfect Body. It's the perfect exercise
Leslie Sansone four or five mile walks. I do the five mile fat burn, and the four mile express challenge. I have them on instant video from amazon on my iPad and can do it anywhere. |
| I belonged to Jazzercise of Arlington for a really long time and loved it. Would still belong but the classes don't work with my schedule anymore (full-time working mom). Check it. |
| Look into kickboxing classes. |

Helped me lose weight fast and so much fun. I buy 30 classes at a time so it's $3 a class. It's held in an indoor soccer/boxing "plex." It's much, much, much more intense than Zumba or Jazzercise. I usually burn about 900 calories a class. |

Does anyone know if Jack Lalanne is still alive?
