We're heading to Bethany this weekend for our first Delaware beach vacation. Kids are 10 and 5. I've searched the archives but don't see a lot of specific information on restaurants or stuff to do. We'll definitely hit Funland!
Any other tips for first-timers? |

Isn't Funland in Rehoboth?
Anyway, I love Bethany Blues and there are concerts at the bandstand (boardwalk in town) every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I like to get drinks at Mango's. It's on the second level, oceanfront, in town. |

Avoid Mango Mikes. The food is awful. It all tastes like it just came out of the microwave oven. Even their hamburgers taste like they are cut with bread products.
Everything tastes like frozen food. Nothing tastes fresh! |
| Yes Funkand is in Rehoboth. There is also a water park - Jungle Jim's. It's on Rt 1 in Rehoboth. Not much in Bethany besides the beach. There are some Kayak places. In Fenwick is a cute Country Store. If you feel like going all the way down to OC there is an amusement park. |
| We love the food at the Cottage Cafe, especially the cheese fries. We make sure to hit up the Cottage Cafe for them every year! |
| Matt's Fish Camp is one of our favorite places for food. Be sure to get a fresh donut at Fractured Prune. Check the dates for the bonfire on the beach. I would not stay away from Mango Mike's. Sit upstairs and have a nice view of the beach and downtown. If you are there for the 4th there is parade through town. The children love to decorate their bikes and ride in the parade. Hopefully the hurricane will move out into the Atlantic. |
