Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| Do they have enough of a rail to keep preschoolers from falling out. Trying to move my son from his crib that converted into a toddler bed. Still has a rail for 2/3 of the side that is quite high. He seems to roll around alot at night and I always hear him banging into the sides of his current crib/toddler bed. The Ikea bed rails seems pretty low to me and the beds are not that wide. Anyone tried them? My son's room is so small would love to find an option that is smaller than a regular twin bed. |
| They are cute as can be, but I never got one because they don't have standard size mattresses - neither crib sized nor twin. But I think you can purchase an after market rail to put on the sides of them just fine. |

I have 2 of my kids (4 and 2 years old) in them and I love them. They share a room that is quite small so having two full size twin beds would not work. Each of my kids has fallen out of the bed once. Not over the rail but on the part of the bed without the rail. The beds are so low and the floor carpeted so there was no damage done. They do sleep right up against the rail most of the time...I think a lot of kids do that.
Yes, the beds are Ikea sized so you have to buy the Ikea mattress (& sheets, etc.). But the beds aren't terribly expensive and we have a third child that will use one of the beds eventually so I think we will get our money's worth. I can see a child sleeping in them until age 5 or 6. |
