Chicken. Nothing else, just chicken with toothpicks.

Fat is ok nowadays!

If you insist, low-fat yogurt dip with vegetables.

Stuffed olives, turkey & low fat cheese rolls, marinated artichoke hearts, cocktail shrimp tray, fresh fruit, veggies, eggplant "bruschetta"

Even deviled eggs aren't all that bad.

So are carbs. I can't believe these stupid low-fat low-carb trends are still coming up.

Fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, beans/legumes, quality meats, etc.

Yes, shrimp and deviled eggs sound good.

Also, you could do meatballs (using 90% fat beef) - I just mix the beef, bread crumbs, minced garlic, parsley, parm cheese (maybe egg cant remember) and bake. You could do a quick sauce with Cento tomato paste, a little water, oregano, and fried garlic in olive oil - simmer for 5 minutes leave it thick.

I'd love any eggplant recipes if anyone is willing to share.

So weird then that it's my doctors who keep recommending it....

My entire family is technically medically obese (except for my dad and me). Two brothers and their wives and a sister have lost 50 pounds each on average in the past year. Several of them are fairly panic-stricken that they'll start gaining back the weight. There's no way in hell I want my house or get-together to be a trigger for them grabbing a brownie. Or ten. So, call me boring, fine, but on Friday, I'll have only low fat, low carb food. To those posters with ideas: thanks!
