Cost of redoing shower and recommendations for contractors

We just bought a home, which we love, but the master bathroom is really small. It has a shower with no bathtub, and the shower is kind of old looking. I think the whole bathroom would look larger and just nicer if we redid the shower, putting more modern tile from floor to ceiling, a nicer showerhead, and a frameless glass door.

Anyone do something similar? How much did it cost and would you recommend the person who did the work? Thanks!
