taking double jogging stroller on an airplane?

I would like to take my double jogging stroller (it's huge -- Bob Revolution) on our flight to Bahamas in a few weeks. That way I will be able to walk on the beach with the kids - the only way I am going to get any exercise! Has anyone ever done this? I know it is too big to go through the security thing, so I am assuming they will hand-wand it? And will it be ok to gate check such a big stroller once we board? Thanks.

Have you looked into renting one down there? I am a jogger and never bring ours, always rent. Worth a try because who needs the hassle and it's cheap
