Recent experience with Fidelity Amex, Amex Blue, Capital One Quicksilver, other reward cards?

I've searched the archives and found recommendations but I am looking for recent experience. The Fidelity Amex sounded great but recent reviews on their website are awful - lots of complaints about frequent declined charges on routine purchases.

I'm looking for solid rewards, preferably cash but open to other rewards, no hassle (I.e. I don't want to have to sign up for specific rewards every quarter - I'll probably forget to do it), and I don't want a card that will lock if Amazon charges a few purchases separately, which some people said the Fidelity Amex will do.

Are these fidelity Amex problems common? Any recent experiences, good or bad, with that card or Amex Blue Everyday or Capital One Quicksilver? Other cards I should look at?

We have had the fidelity Amex for probably 6 years. Average slightly over 1,000 in rewards each year (including a chase business ink card for home improvement, gas and restaurant purchases at 3%). Never had a problem. 2% cash back with no limit, no fee. We have it deposited into a brokerage account and then move it out to a checking account. Never had a problem with it, except for places that don't accept Amex.

Amex Premeir Rewards Gold if you travel for work and can be reimbursed - the 3x multiplier for airfare is pretty awesome

Capital one venture. 2% on everything - technically meant as a travel rewards card but anything basically counts (even restaurants, uber, etc) so it's basically like cash. You just wipe off any charges from your bill every now and then.

I have had the Fidelity Amex for a few years now. I have not had any issues with it. I don't love their website interface but whatever. The rewards transfer easily into my Fidelity account.

We too have used the Fidelity Amex for a few years and had no issues with it. We know that when my husband travels overseas for business, they might lock the card if he uses it there. Therefore we call Fidelity before the trips notifying them the card will be used simultaneosly in a particular foreign country and the US where I stay.

I have the Amex Blue Rewards Preferred (I think that's the name...). So far I like it. I use it to do all my grocery shopping and gasoline purchases, and I use the cash rewards to help pay off the balance, so it's pretty simple. You get 6 percent back at grocery stores, 3 percent back at gas stations, 1 percent back everywhere else

I actually got it because I kept hearing about how gasoline pumps are a common way for scammers to get your credit card information. I had been using my debit card at gas stations, but I felt that a credit card would offer me more protection against fraudulent charges.

Recently they were running a promotion where you would get a free year of Amazon Prime and $100 in cash reward points if you charged something like $1,000 in three months, and no interest for a year. So those were nice perks; they might still be around if you check.

Not very pleased with AMEX Blue compared to my Citi cards. Blue Cash is way better, but I thought it came with an annual fee.

I just cancelled to FIA Fidelity cards; one MasterCard and one Amex. Both swept rewards into my Fidelity account. Had one since 2004, the other since 2010.
FIA's customer service is horrendous. Frequently declined charges out of the blue w/ no communication from FIA. Had one declined last week for $12.65 - on an Amex card!
Recently FIA redid their online banking website. Not for the better. Log in issues abound. Can no longer log in and view both cards from one log-in; have to log in twice.
Fidelity is terrific.
FIA Card services is horrible.

I'm happy with my Discover card.

Can you elaborate? I have Citi Thank You card and got the Amex Blue about a year ago (or maybe I have Blue Cash? I have the one without the annual fee). Thanks.

Annual fee of $69 right?

So you can cash miles (earned at 2x rate) for 1c/pt guaranteed?
