Every vacation package I have seen on major sites is priced for 2 adults and 2 children. I am tired to splitting a hotel room with another mom and kid to get a decent rate. Someone must have single parent deals. If resorts can do room, meals, and attractions for a family of 4 at $160 a night, why can't they offer the same to my family of 2 at $80 or even $100 a night?
How about REI vacations or Disney vacations?
As a single parent, I found that looking for places that charged by person rather than by room were less expensive - not half, but at least less. One of my favorite single mom "package" vacations was to a club med. I paid the adult rate for me, the kid rate for my child. We spend like 90% of our time together, but she spent a couple of hours a day in the kids club, which was an awesome break for me. Good luck finding something that suits you!
Thank you both. I will try pricing out that way and also look at Club Med.
