Definitely don't overbake!! Try are best underbaked.

Use European-style (higher fat) butter, like Plugra. It makes a huge batch but the cookies freeze well.

I don't like them all that much. I'm a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies, but I'm more of a traditionalist. I'm not really into the oatmeal.

The cookies aren't worth the effort.

They're good if you like super rich cookies. No joke intended there. My mother makes them at Christmas time, and is always so excited about them, but they wouldn't be on my top 10 cookie list.

No better than average oatmeal chocolate chip. Personally i substitute coconut fat for half or all the butter. I love the flavor.
