Iran and Oman are discussing a permanent Strait of Hormuz toll

Iran and Oman are actively discussing a permanent security mechanism for the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is pushing to institutionalize and normalize a transit fee or toll on commercial shipping vessels navigating the narrow waterway. According to an Iranian diplomatic envoy, the proposed system is designed to secure the long-term positioning of Iran and Oman as the primary regulators of the strait, effectively transforming a temporary leverage point from the recent military conflict into a permanent sovereign right.

who knew trump would do more for the sustainability economy than any democrat!

+1 and regarding fertilizer, eating food is way, WAY overrated. Forget GLP-1s, this is weight loss made easy! So much winning! Republicans4Ever!

Trump keeps saying that the US is the hottest country in the world!

https://allianceofdemocracies.org/democracy-perception-index

In the latest Democracy Perceptions Index: the United States' global net favorability has fallen to -16. That's 38 points lower than it was under Biden.

It's 23 points worse than China. 52 below Canada. The US is now less popular around the world than *Russia*

So, I guess he is lying.

All these doomsday posts and yet everyone’s life goes on. I took our DC out to a $1,000 dinner for college graduation. The restaurant was packed. There were no signs the end is near.

K shaped economy. This DC restaurant is a very small, specific subsector of the economy. You were surrounded by others with money, but that isn’t normal.

Exactly this.
I’m surprised $1000-a-dinner PP is too dumb to know this.

“The White House staff is absolutely, totally freaked about bond yields and gas prices,” said a person close to the White House, who, like others in this story, was granted anonymity to discuss private conversations.”

You are obviously at the top of the "K" economy if you can afford a $1,000 dinner. However, Walmart and McDonald's report something entirely different from your anecdote. Of course, Walmart caters to the lower to middle-income sector of society who could never dream of a $1,000 dinner. They both report to a down economy. Walmart went so far as to report that they are experiencing a more pronounced uptick in the trend toward upper-middle-income shoppers replacing Kroger and Wegmans for their grocery shopping. People are feeling a pinch. So, thank you for your input, Queen Marie Antoinette.
