Can we start school with a signed contract?

If you are already in FCPS, and you have a signed contract for a new home in FCPS, will they let you start the school year in your new school?


I actually will be moving within FCPS back to a home I already own, which is rented out. If I have a signed notice to end the lease because we are moving back, will they let us start the school year in the home that's rented out, but we are taking back?

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this. Thanks.

Yes--an acquaintance of mine was building a home in a certain school's boundaries (school A), but living in School B's boundaries. Her DS was starting 3rd grade AAP and was allowed to go to School A's AAP center while her house was being built--for 6 months of the school year while they actually lived in School B's boundaries.
