| Has anyone's kid tried any of the high school summer English programs, particularly the ones at Sidwell and St. Albans? If so, were they helpful? |

Did not care for 9th grade/Form III English class at STA. Too much peer-review and not enough actual teaching and grading of assignments. My son was coming from the STA lower school and I expected a rigorous curriculum in order for him to get a head start on upper school. The summer instructor and instruction was a disappointment.
Great school otherwise. |

| It is all relative. We have a friend whose DC took the program and found it to be a great intense nuts and bolts review. Helped make an average English student much stronger. |
