What kind of tops can I wear with these navy cropped pants with white polka dots? Preppy impulse buy (on sale), and I'm not sure what to wear with it. Whatever tops I end up getting, I can't/won't tuck them in. White tank or tee seems obvious--maybe with a bright cardigan (red? Pink?). What else?

Cute! Do you have any short sleeved sweaters? Green is a fun pairing with navy. Also bright yellow. Just make sure the shirts are fairly short if you're not tucking in.

I think pale yellow would work as well, or maybe blush pink (although that may be too childish). Also maybe light grey?

Mostly just nothing fancy - straight up plain top, no ruffles, patterns, large buttons, shiny bits, etc. The pants are super cute - let them do all the talking in the outfit!

Navy is a neutral, and many colors looks good with it. In addition to the above, you could do pink, turquoise, mustard, lavender, and orange. Would do a color that flatters your face.

Love the pants--great choice! I think those would look great paired with tops/cardigans in red, bright green, bright yellow/pale yellow, and bright pink/pale pink. Navy is a versatile color.

Mustard yellow is my favorite with navy, also like Kelly green, red and pink.
