Anybody ever have a really strange result from Botox?

Anonymous
I just had it for the first time yesterday and am anxiously awaiting the result with a mixture of excitement and dread. I probably shouldn't ask this but would love to hear any horror stories. The fact that you have to wait a few days for any result is odd to me. I feel like a ticking time bomb!

First time a lame to remain unnamed chevy chase plastic surgeon didn't space it right (she must have injected it all in one spot) and my forehead raised up like a monster in front. Fast foreword 5 years, had it done by someone who knows what she's doing and after several days the 11 lines on my forehead smoothed out mostly. Not completely. Have only done it on my forehead. I think nightmares don't take that long to show up!

Eye droop on ons side, took two months to correct.

What worries me is the side effect that it could make your throat close up. Yikes!

I think to look "well rested" I will just try to sleep more.

Why if you had a bad experience would you donut again? Most people won't even do it once - the while toxin right next to the brain issue. Where do you think the toxin goes when it dissipates?

Sorry - do it, not donut above.

Doing my forehead made the muscles pull on my eyelids. They looked very strange and crepe-y for a couple of months. No more Botox for me.

There are two great things about Botox: 1) it's temporary and 2) it's cheap, compared to other procedures.

If it doesn't work for you, OP, it will go away on its own.

OP here-- well, mine turned out great. She was very conservative and i ended up with a smoothed out forehead but I can still move it. Glad I tried it!

My forehead botox took care of the horizontal line in my forhead and vertical squint mark above my nose, between my eyebrows.
Unfortunately, it ALSO made my eyelids droop because it paralyzed the muscles which hold them up.
Now, I look a bit like Mr. Spock because the area if my brows on either side of my nose droop leaving the outer brow up- like Spock.

This is exactly what a prominent bethesda plastic surgeon told me more than 15 years ago - he would only do botox in that fashion if I had an eye lift (which I've never had done) - otherwise, you can get this droop result. So I did nothing. Works for me.

yeah

I never really got why people would risk their health just to defy aging.

I found anecdotal reports (which could easily be bunk) that some people experienced anxiety after getting Botox. Though I've never known anyone personally who went through that.
Still, I already have an anxious nature so I don't want to take the risk. Anyone else hear of this?
