Okay so I want to get my daughter a little chair for her first birthday. People seem to like those Pottery Barn Anywhere Chairs, so I was thinking of getting one of those. However, I was just checking their website and I'm totally confused--who knew there were like 4 different versions of that chair????
What size would be appropriate for a 1+ year old--the hybrid anywhere chair or the hybrid my first anywhere chair??? I realize this post is wasting your time, but hey, if you've read this far then please consider posting a reply with some marginally helpful info. THANKS!

Not sure about the "hybrid" versions, but when I bought DD her Anywhere Chair (she was 8 or 9 mos old at the time) , I chose between the "My first" version (which was tiny) and the regular AC, which was bigger. Seemed a lot bigger, at the time. I got the regular version and am happy that I did. I think she would have outgrown the smaller one in a matter of months. Now she's two, and can still enjoy her AC.

| Agree with pp. Get the regular. She'll outgrow the "first" in no time. |
| Thank you thank you! |
| Check ebay too for the chair as sometimes you can get a good deal on the insert or cover itself. We got the regular sized chair for my son's 1st birthday and he still uses it today -- although more as a jungle gym than an actual chair! |
| Have the regular size one as well. Both my 3 year old and 1 year old play/sit happily on it. |
| OK, not to confuse the OP anymore, but my parents actually bought my son the oversized anywhere chair for his 1st birthday and I can't recommend that one enough. I've seen both the my first chair and the regular anywhere chair and they both seem kind of small. The oversized will definitely be something he can use for many years to come. He absolutely loves sitting in it and eating a snack or watching a DVD or just playing with a toy in it. |
| My son just got the oversized one for his 1st birthday as well. It's great and although I haven't seen the smaller versions, I don't think we would be as happy with them. He loves to sit in it and play with toys and of course, he also uses it as a jungle gym. It's a great present and I can definitely see it being used for a few years to come. |

We have the regular one - and it tips over when dc climbs in it (which most dcs will do). So we have had to keep it leaned against something, which is kind of a pain.
Not sure if the oversized does the same thing. Bit of a design flaw, imo. |
| OP here--thank you thank you for all of the helpful info! That was going to be next question--regular or oversized anywhere chair. So thanks for the info! Now I just need to pick one of the 20 colors.... HA. |

OP, which one did you go with? (if you're still around)
We have a 19 month old, and I'm not sure if we should do the Regular or the Oversized. |
