Volunteering Opportunities with a Six Year old

The earlier poster spurned me to ask about suggestions for DS and I to volunteer for. On and off I have slightly and minimally researched this, but to no avail. I REALLY want to raise my children to be involved in the community in some fashion...but I am stuck on that "fashion"...Help.

Check with some of the animal welfare leagues. Don't know if they have an age limit but maybe walking some of the smaller dogs might be okay.

Martha's Table--you can help pack sandwiches, etc. for those in need. Easy for a child to help and very worthwhile.
