Credit card question re authorized user

Anonymous
If an adult child is an authorized user of a credit card (and has a card for that account with own name on it and uses it to pay parent's bills and make purchases) but is not a joint card holder, is that adult child responsible for the debt if parent dies? Thanks for any info!

I hope not

I keep reading different responses on various credit card/banking sites.

I would think that the debt would first come from the deceased parent's estate.

OP here. Yes, for sure--but I should've made it clear that I was wondering if estate couldn't cover the debt. For example, due to large medical expenses, etc.
