Visa gift card without fees?

Anonymous
Time to buy end of school year teacher gifts and thinking about Visa gift cards but don't want to pay fees. Is it possible to buy Visa gift cards anywhere without paying fees? I'd rather not do cash and don't have time to go to Target this week. Other ideas?

Do you have a CVS near you? They usually have gift cards for a variety of stores. The Visa gift cards are a pain to receive, honestly.

Safeway has a ton of gift cards as well. I did Amazon at Christmas.

Why are they a pain to receive? I've never received one but have given many. They have them now where there are no monthly fees for non-use. So if you forget about it and then remember it two years later, you still have the same amount on it.

I hate getting the visa gift cards because if you don't spend them all at once, you need to be able to tell the next store how much is on it. When I get them, I go buy gift cards for other stores with them.

I'm annoyed receiving visa gift cards. Say you have $5 left on the card, you need to tell the cashier the amount you want deducted off the card. They're hard to use!

just use it in any grocery stores - Giant, SW, HT - all can charge whatever left on the card without asking.

Navy Federal has a visa gift card with ZERO fees to purchase it. YOu can purchase it online or in their branch offices. One item to note- if you do not use it within 12 months (charge on it) the fee becomes $5 a month. But if you use it within 12 months- there are no fees whatsoever attached to it.

You can by an Amazon giftcard for unusal amounts with whatever balance you have left over. So- if you have a $2.41 cent balance- you can buy one for that and use it at amazon. Slightly annoying- but very useful!
